In addition, the entry station boasts of an LCD display that lists the tenants/employees that a visitor can call to gain access. “Whenever a person initiates a call, this modern receiving monitor will display a live video feed of this individual,” says Tim McCarthy, Senior Product Manager for Paxton Access. “If the tenant chooses to let this person in, the tenant can unlock this door by simply tapping a touch screen icon on the monitor – making the process simpler and more secure than ever before, plus it gets recorded to the access control history log.”
Additionally, this groundbreaking product also features a built in proximity card reader and keypad for basic access control functionality. Of course, this useful service is fully integrated with the Net2 Access System which includes CCTV integration, video badging, emergency lockdown and other great features. In other words then, instead of needing to piece together two disparate systems, you require just one CAT 5-6 cable and the Paxton IP video intercom to create a complete solution.
