MAHWAH, N.J. , April 9, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- The Bergen County Police Department, with co-sponsors the Northern New Jersey Chapter of ASIS International and Summit Security Services, will host an upcoming seminar covering the latest counter terrorism techniques. The Counter Terrorism Seminar will be held on Wednesday, May 7 , 9 a.m. to noon , at the Bergen County Law and Public Safety Institute, 281 Campgaw Road in Mahwah, New Jersey .
Targeted to law enforcement officials and corporate security executives, the seminar will offer a comprehensive briefing on counter surveillance. Topics will include how to recognize and identify hostile surveillance areas and locations; pinpoint surveillance vulnerabilities; recognize surveillance mannerisms; blend into an environment; and how to identify those doing surveillance. Participants also will see a demonstration of the latest technology for window treatments and glazing to protect against possible bomb blasts in an urban environment. Following the seminar will be a tour of the Bergen County Police Academy for ASIS members.
