Alarm.com and SafetyCare have entered into a strategic partnership to provide a monitoring solution for elderly and disabled individuals who want to live independently, but have their family and medical care providers nearby in the case of an emergency.
According to a statement released by the companies on Tuesday, the new solution will combine Alarm.com’s wireless and Web-based monitoring technology with SafetyCare’s 24 hour emergency response services, giving family member and caregivers of elderly or disabled persons the ability to ensure their well being through a set of monitoring features.
Among the new solution’s features include; a remote log-in to check on activity in the home throughout the day, e-mail and cell phone alerts of unusual activity or inactivity outside the person’s daily patterns and video monitoring that allows people to watch their loved ones through live video feeds.
The system will also include a link to emergency response personnel through SafetyCare’s response center.
