Datastrip demos DSVII-SC mobile ID verification

Datastrip demoing technology with Codebench, Blackinton SmartShield and SMI at ASIS 2008 show

Datastrip

Datastrip Inc. will showcase its DSVII-SC mobile ID verification devices in conjunction with Codebench Inc. Blackinton and Smart Media Innovations (SMI) at ASIS International 2008 in Atlanta. Technical demonstrations will be available each day during show hours at Datastrip's booth, #323.

With Codebench's PIVCheck Plus software, the DSVII-SC provides PIV, TWIC and FRAC cardholder verification, and automated enrollment into physical access control systems (PACS) at government and military installations, including ports. Its certificate manager revalidates certificates on a periodic basis to ensure continued validity, and it can automatically suspend a PACS badge associated with a revoked certificate

When integrated with Blackinton's SmartShield Badge Security System™, the DSVII-SC can perform ID and attendance checks in first responder scenarios. It confirms the identity of badge wearers and detects fraudulent badges that don't carry the SmartShield RFID chip. It also can be used to provide hardware backup for the SmartShield during network failures or situations that disable fixed RFID readers used to track badge inventory.

SMI provides software that allows common access control credentials (proximity, iCLASS, magstripe) to be identified and verified using the DSVII-SC mobile terminal. without costly integration. Extending the use of the access card beyond the wired infrastructure, SMI software can identify card holders at temporary checkpoints, during emergency evacuations, at off-site meetings or many other scenarios.
