Riverside, Calif., increases false alarm fines

The city council of Riverside, Calif., voted this week to increase the fines for false alarms from burglar alarm systems and fire alarm systems.

As it stands now, after the city council's Tuesday vote, the fines begin with the second false security alarm in a year, or the third false fire alarm.
