Brivo's second course to offer Continuing Education Credits

Bethesda, MD, March 26, 2007 – Brivo Systems, the leader in Web applications for access control and security systems, today announced that its ACS OnSite Technical Training course has been accredited by the National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) National Training School (NTS). This is Brivo's second NBFAA-accredited course; the ACS5000 Technical Training course was approved in September 2006.

Continuing Education Units, or CEUs, are required to maintain NBFAA/NTS certification. CEU courses may also be taken outside the certification process, for professionals with needs such as specific product training. NBFAA accreditation assures students that the course is substantive and will help them advance their professional abilities and knowledge.

Brivo's ACS OnSite Technical Training course provides students with expertise in installing, configuring, and maintaining a Brivo ACS5000-S Control Panel. This panel supports the ACS OnSite access control system, a standalone solution ideal for single facilities, even when there are multiple businesses present.

The course is recommended for anyone who installs or supports a Brivo system, as well as sales estimators, system designers, and anyone else for whom an understanding of the industry's leading products is vital to their ability to properly recommend or design electronic access control systems.

Participants in the ACS OnSite Technical Training earn 0.4 CEUs upon course completion. The ACS5000 Technical Training course, covering the control panels that support Brivo's Web-hosted offering, ACS WebService, provide participants with 0.3 CEUs.

Brivo's Field Technical Manager, Michael Cartee, who oversaw the course development, said, "We want to ensure that we continue to provide the highest level of service and support our customers expect. NTS accreditation assures technicians that the course will give them the skills needed to provide a quick and smooth installation for their customers."
