Draper, UT | March 31, 2022: ProdataKey (PDK), manufacturer of the leading cloud access control platform built for mobile, announced today the release of its PoE++ Module Kit, an expansion module that equips any pdk Red high-security door controller with PoE connectivity for communication and full power. When plugged into the controller's board, the PoE++ Module powers the board itself and all the electrified hardware connected to it. The result is simplified installation and reduced cable runs that deliver savings on both labor and materials.
The PoE++ Module can operate in extreme temperatures and up to 95% relative humidity, making it appropriate for use in almost any location where controllers are mounted. Installation takes seconds. The devices' QuickStart Guide and datasheet provide PoE Switch Requirements for the Red 1, 2, and 4 controllers.
PDK's modular approach allows for various communication methods within the same system; some controllers may utilize PoE++ while others are hardwired or rely on WiMAC Wireless. Integrators can choose the form of communication from controller to controller based on what makes the most sense. This flexibility, combined with OSPD protocols, multiple credentialing options, and a user-friendly mobile-first cloud platform, make pdk Red the most adaptable and intuitive high-security access control solution on the market.
"We introduced the PoE++ Module at ISC West last week in Las Vegas, and the response from dealers visiting our booth was phenomenal," says Brach Bengtzen, Director of Marketing at ProdataKey. "At PDK, our mission is to empower our partners through exceptional support and intuitive and secure solutions. Our new PoE++ Module offers another way that dealers can offer unique value to their customers by reducing installation costs and streamlining system infrastructure."
The PoE++ Module Kits are now available and shipping. Visit www.prodatakey.com to learn more about them and PDKs full line of products.
