In a continued effort to bring forward-looking solutions to the access control market, HES, an ASSA ABLOY Group company, has added a new strike to its surface-mounted portfolio and is previewing an entirely new platform-based electric strike design at ASIS 2015.
The new 9700 Series is an addition to the popular surface-mounted 9500 and 9600 Series. The new strike combines both windstorm and fire-ratings into one solution and is designed to accommodate the Corbin Russwin SecureBoltTM and Yale SquareBoltTM exit devices. The HES 9700 is the perfect complement to these heavy-duty exit device solutions that are ideal for frequent use applications such as K-12, theaters, factories, government buildings and healthcare environments.
HES continues to develop benchmark standards by leveraging its experience and feedback from customers. The newest designs were inspired by HES’s flagship 1006 and 4500 Series electric strikes to create the next generation interchangeable platform. The new 1500 and 1600 Series are the most advanced, heavy duty, flexible, electric strikes on the market today. The new platform features two interchangeable power modules for standard PoE friendly operation and an ultra low power, EcoStrikeTM operation. In addition, the faceplates and accessories, latchbolt, deadbolt and door monitors are all field installable for greater flexibility.
Designed with aesthetics and sustainability in mind, the 1500 and 1600 Series offer sleek, clean lines and a fully finished appearance to compliment the architectural essence of the door and frame. Both electric strike models are almost 100 percent recyclable, with easy in-field component replacements to help minimize the impact on our landfills.
As you would expect from HES, this new high-performance line will meet or exceed every standard or specification established for electric strikes, to accommodate all latchbolt and deadbolt lock brands and applications.
“HES has been the industry’s innovative leader for almost 40 years, and our new electric strike line is going to set new design standards once again,” said Michael Webb, Vice President of New Product Development, ASSA ABLOY EMS&OEM Group. “By listening to customer feedback, and working tirelessly with our engineers to meet advancing requirements, we’ve developed the most advanced electric strike platforms in the industry.”
