ORLANDO, Fla.--Traka, part of the ASSA ABLOY Group, has introduced a new electronic key cabinet solution for residential properties. Traka LT provides a low-cost solution with smart lock and mobile interaction designed for convenience and efficiency in accessing the physical keys property managers require each day.
The total Traka Residential solution comprises the Traka LT key cabinet and the new corresponding mobile app, Traka GO, which brings all the powerful tools needed by users and administrators of the Traka system right to their smartphone device. The mobile app is at the core of the new LT key control solution and can now be added to the HC and MXi systems for enhanced functionality and convenience.
The Traka LT key management system with mobile GO technology debuted recently at Inspire, the Florida Apartment Association’s annual trade show and conference in Lake Buena Vista, Florida October 11-13.
“With the rapid rise in multi-family residential construction, there’s a parallel demand for cost-effective key management solutions so managers can efficiently keep track of who has access to what building,” said Traka’s Director of Residential Solutions, Larry Green. “Traka is committed to providing these innovative solutions to ensure safety and security within new and growing communities.”
Traka’s LT cabinet is designed to give managers convenient, centralized access to every shared key in a multi-family community. The cabinet is programmable to restrict access to certain keys, which protects against unauthorized access to certain parts of the property. The system also eliminates the need for an employee to manually check out physical keys. Additionally, the cabinet helps keep property groups managers compliant with industry security policies and saves managers money from having to re-key units and recover from lost production time looking for lost keys.
Fully empowered, managers can now monitor keys removed from their Traka LT cabinet from anywhere with the new Traka GO mobile app. The Traka software allows them to see who signed out which key and when, and receive notifications when a key is missing or hasn’t been returned on time. This audit trail is vital for providing reports that some states require to be accessed on-demand during unannounced inspections.
The LT cabinet, officially available beginning in November, is the latest in Traka’s line of key and asset management solutions utilized in industries worldwide. For a complete list of Traka’s solutions, visit traka.com or LinkedIn.
