ASSA ABLOY announced today that it has purchased Maiman, a Missouri- based manufacturer of high-end doors for the commercial, industrial and institutional markets.
The acquisition is expected to help expand ASSA ABLOY’s product offerings and create new business opportunities for the company’s door group.
“Maiman is an exciting addition to the group with excellent management and a well deserved reputation for quality and innovation. Following our close collaboration with Maiman during the last few years, this acquisition is an important step in our strategy to provide complete door opening solutions to our partners in the marketplace,” said ASSA ABLOY Americas Division Door Group President Larry Denbrock in a statement announcing the acquisition.
Maiman's product line includes a variety of high-end doors and frames used for commercial and government building applications. The company also offers specialty doors such as acoustically rated doors, bullet-resistant doors, lead-lined doors and historical reproductions. The company has provided doors and door solutions for the Old Executive Office Building in Washington, D.C., the San Francisco Opera House, the Mohegan Sun Casino/Hotel, and other high-profile locations.
