GE Security announced significant revisions to its leadership team today, bringing aboard long-time industry names Mark Barry, Tom Cashman and Ken Francis.
Barry, formerly with Tyco Fire and Security, was named the new Americas president. Cashman, a veteran of Sensormatic and co-founder/former president of Sypixx, will serve as general manager of video products. Francis, a veteran of AMAG Technology, ADT and NetVersant Solutions, will be general manager for GE Security's access products and integrated solutions.
Dean Seavers, president/CEO of GE Security said the three men "add measurably to the domain expertise and talent of an already very capable team."

Mark Barry - Eighteen years of security industry experience have well prepared Barry for his role as GE Security’s Americas president. His responsibilities include overseeing all commercial and customer service operations in the United States, Canada and Latin America. Barry previously served as Asia division president for Tyco Fire and Security Services. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Georgia State University.
Tom Cashman – Cashman brings 18 years of video security industry background and experience to his assignment as general manager, video products at GE Security. Prior to joining GE, Cashman served as the co-founder and president of Sypixx Networks, Inc. and as general manager for Sensormatic’s video products division, where he led the product management and technology teams. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from San Diego State University.
Ken Francis – Francis brings extensive systems integration, enterprise technology and strategic planning expertise to his assignment as general manager, access products and integration. He served previously as vice president, enterprise sales and marketing for NetVersant Solutions and prior to that was vice president, sales and marketing at AMAG Technology and general manager for ADT Security Services. Francis earned his bachelor’s degree in criminology from Florida State University and his master’s in business administration from American University.
