Datacard Group names Timothy Cheung president of its Chinese operations

Secure identity and card personalization firm Datacard Group announced on Tuesday that is has appointed Timothy Cheung as president of the company’s operations in China.
Cheung formerly served as president of SAP in China and also spent 22 years with IBM, holding a variety of leadership positions during his tenure.
He will be based out of the Datacard Beijing office and will report directly to the company’s CEO Todd Wilkinson.
"Datacard Group has experienced significant growth in China over the past few years and we are very pleased to bring on such a strong leader," said Wilkinson in a statement. "Timothy’s depth of knowledge in the Chinese market and strong leadership skills will provide us with the additional talent needed to propel greater global growth and success for the company."
In addition, Sherman Cai has been promoted to vice president of China for Datacard Group. Cai will continue to be responsible for the sale of all the company’s products across the country.
