The semi-concealed 1562 Hi/Shear magnetic lock incorporates SDC’s innovative mortise shear lock with 2000 lbs of holding force, plus a surface mount armature bracket. The armature bracket assembly is mounted to the secure side of a glass, hollow metal or wood door, eliminating potential for tampering, while the need for a glass door top rail is eliminated. Features include 12/24VDC voltage sensing input, door static and alignment sensor to ensure reliable and quiet operation, lateral and vertical alignment adjustment and a floating armature for easy armature lift to overcome wide gaps. Door and magnetic bond sensors are optional. The SDC 1562 HiShear is BHMA Certified for ANSI compliance and is UL listed for use on fire-rated doors and UL 10C positive pressure compliant.
