    AutoGate Introduces The Shield Anti-Terrorism Gate

    On March 28, 2006, AutoGate a leader in Vertical Pivot Lift Gate Operators since 1987 successfully tested “The Shield” at Calspan in Buffalo, N.Y. It withstood a direct impact from a 15,000lb (6804kg) vehicle traveling at 40mph (64.4km), achieving K8 certification by the Department of State (DOS).

    The Shield is AutoGate’s newest and most exciting product yet. This Anti-Ram Barrier was designed to protect and defend against potential terrorist acts where perimeter security is crucial. The Shield will also serve as a fully operational standard entry gate system while still providing perimeter protection security.
