Datacard Group announces new VP of global channel strategy and operations
MINNETONKA, Minn.—(May 14, 2013)—Datacard Group, the world leader in secure ID and card personalization solutions, today announced the appointment of Kathleen Phillips as vice president of global channel strategy and operations.
Datacard Group operates in several vertical markets including financial, government, corporate identity and education, and currently has a large network of global channel partners covering over 120 countries. Phillips will be responsible for strengthening the overall business and operational management of these channel partners, as well as driving channel strategy to deliver strong differentiation in the marketplace to grow the broad portfolio of Datacard® solutions – which include hardware, software, supplies, consultation and project management for card and credential programs.

With over 20 years working with channel partners in the security, ID and semi-conductor industries, as well as over 10 years leading channel development, Phillips brings industry-leading experience to her new role. Phillips most recently lead Datacard Group’s desktop systems product marketing and management team, where she was responsible for product strategy and growth for the company’s desktop personalization systems. Prior to joining Datacard Group in 2010, she worked with Fargo Electronics, now part of HID Global, as the executive vice president of sales and marketing.
Phillips earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Creighton University and an Executive MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
