PureTech Systems adds Access Control Auto-Verify to eliminate nuisance alarms

Sept. 26, 2024
The PureActiv enhancement automatically validates access control security violations and dismisses nuisance alarms.

PureTech Systems Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Physical Access Control System (PACS) Automated Verification to its flagship PureActiv software. This enhancement aims to significantly improve perimeter security and productivity by automatically validating actual access control security violations and dismissing nuisance alarms.

The new PACS feature in PureActiv cross-references access control events with PureTech’s patented geospatial AI Boosted video analytics (i.e. “Auto-verification”). PureActiv determines the legitimacy of an alarm, thus eliminating the distractions caused by nuisance alarms. Alarms caused by faulty door equipment can be automatically routed to maintenance personnel to schedule repairs while real access control violations can be routed to security personnel for immediate action. PureActiv transmits the alarm data to your VMS, PACS, and/or PSIM systems.

"Adding PACS Auto-Verification to PureActiv is a game-changer for our clients," said Larry Bowe, President of PureTech Systems. "This enhancement is part of our on-going commitment to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of video surveillance systems by automating intrusion detection and response, moving ever closer to fully autonomous surveillance systems.”

The PACS Auto-Verification feature in PureActiv can auto-verify the following PACS events as real or nuisance alarms (generally caused by faulty door equipment):

  • Door forced open,
  • Door held open,
  • Piggybacking, and
  • Intermittent door contacts causing repeated Door Forced alarms, among others.
