FRAMINGHAM, Mass., May 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- S2 Security today announced the release of version 1.1 of S2 Global the only physical security and video management system that offers a completely scalable, distributed solution built on network appliance architecture and delivered via a web browser. Version 1.1 introduces the advanced Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), enabling users to monitor security and video for the entire distributed system from any location, coordinating alarm response between the GSOC and remote sites.
S2 Global is a flexible system that easily scales for the large, distributed enterprise, remote-managed access control scenarios, campus-oriented systems, or property management applications. Global users can build, expand and easily operate an ecosystem of S2's SMS and VMS appliances under one, centrally controlled, distributed network. The global security network can be managed locally, remotely or both, and includes access control, event monitoring, and video surveillance and forensics.

New to Version 1.1's GSOC is complete alarm workflow. Advanced alarm escalation, integrated with associated video, allows supervisors to contact, assess and manage the right people in multiple locations and populations. Bidirectional synchronization allows for the sharing of alerts with both the remote facility where the alarm occurs and with central management, giving supervisors direct control to monitor and manage events in real-time.
