Capable of managing localized access control, intruder alarms, perimeter security, business automation, and logic needs for organizations

As cyber-physical attacks grow in number and complexity, organizations everywhere are forced to reassess the cybersecurity preparedness of their physical security systems. The Controller 7000 has been designed to deliver stronger cyber protections, new capabilities, scalability, and functionality to help organizations prepare for the unknown threats of the future.

From the inside out, the C7000 was developed with powerful cybersecurity functionality: only Gallagher-approved firmware can run on the device; software with known vulnerabilities is prevented from being installed; it’s impossible to clone or counterfeit the device; critical cryptographic keys are stored securely; and Industry-leading security infrastructure generates, processes, and stores cryptographic keys and certificates, preventing supply chain attacks. Altogether, the C7000’s layers of baked-in cyber protections equip users with responsive and adaptable technology to safeguard against sophisticated cyber threats for many years to come

The C7000 features a highly scalable system design, supporting up to 2,000,000 standard cardholders and the flexibility to scale from single door systems to global systems with up to 10,000 controllers. Capable of managing all localized access control needs, the C7000 supports up to 256 alarm zones, 2,000 access groups, 400 time schedules, and an unlimited number of access zones, enabling users to grow their sites without limitation. And because the C7000 is able to store 1,000,000 offline events, users have the additional assurance that their operations won’t grind to a halt if the connection to the server is lost, ensuring streamlined and continuous operations.

Additionally, the C7000 has a powerful microprocessor that makes access decisions in 8ms, enabling the execution of access decisions faster and reducing the time to resync cardholder databases, demonstrating unrivaled power and speed. And because the C7000 has the same footprint as the Controller 6000, Gallagher users can upgrade to the newest technology easier than ever, saving significant time and money during installation. With an upgrade function written into the software, configuration is achieved with one command and a typical update only takes 1-2 minutes.

The C7000 supports enforcement of business policy at the door, ensuring all staff and visitors remain physically safe and compliant on site. This includes enforcement of an individual’s compliance to enter an area (e.g. site inductions, licenses, and accreditation), safety policies (e.g. automated site lockdown based on a combination of pre-defined events), drug and alcohol policies (e.g. randomized alcohol testing prior to site entry), and fatigue policies (e.g. enforcing rest periods before site re-entry), with enforcement occurring irrespective of Command Centre server connectivity.

Finally, the C7000 prepares organizations for the future. As Gallagher’s future growth and product roadmap develops, C7000 users will have the foundation in place to immediately benefit from new developments and features as they’re released through streamlined updates. Users will have continuous value delivered over the lifespan of the controller, making the return on investment in cybersecurity and functionality worth it for many years to come.

The result is a trusted device with baked-in security that removes the burden of maintaining cybersecurity for users while ensuring up-to-date protections.
