LAPEER, MICHIGAN — Cypress Integration Solutions recently released a new OSDP Data Splitter which allows sharing of an OSDP reader with two OSDP panels.
The OSDP Data Splitter (ODM-2010) directs the reader’s credential data to both OSDP systems. PD port 1, connected to the primary controller, has full control over the reader and sends I/O messages such as LED/buzzer commands. PD port 2 connects to the secondary controller and sends credential data only; OSDP I/O commands receive NAK replies.
“The line of OSDP Splitters came about through projects we were working on with several large customers,” said Jacob LeRoy, Cypress Sr. Sales & Development Manager. “As they have come to market, we have seen growing interest in these devices.”
Along with the ODM-2010, a custom OSDP Data Splitter is available, to share an OSDP reader with 2 panels, to send credential data to one panel or the other based on a custom credential configuration. Also available are versions which allowing sharing OSDP reader data with 1 OSDP panel and 1 Wiegand panel.
The OSDP Splitter was part of the product lineup in the Cypress booth at ISC West 2024, and can be seen in Booth 420 at the Electronic Security Expo (ESX) next month in Louisville, Kentucky.
