Witchita, Kan., to host false alarm reduction meeting

Police in Witchita, Kan., are inviting alarm dealers and monitoring companies to attend a meeting about the city’s implementation of new a software program that will aid in tracking and billing for the Witchita False Alarm Reduction Program.
The program seeks to reduce the number of false alarms authorities respond to by imposing fines on home and business owners who suffer repeated violations of the city’s alarm ordinance.
