LYNXR-I self-contained wireless controller supports Honeywell communicators, works with IP system reporting and long-range radio and cellular networks

SYOSSET, N.Y., January 25, 2007 – Honeywell today announced the release of the LYNXR-I Self-Contained Wireless Control, the latest addition to the LYNX quick-install family. Designed with future expandability in mind, the sophisticated new LYNXR-I equips dealers with the flexibility they need to address the emergence of VoIP, migration to cell phones and the growth of digital radio networks.

LYNXR-I supports the Honeywell family of communicators, including the 7845i and 7845GSM. It also supports alarm reporting and downloading using IP and long-range radio—making even the most demanding installation challenges easier. The flexible LYNXR-I still works with ordinary telephone lines, making it the ideal choice for dealers who prefer to utilize the traditional method or may decide to employ alternate technology in the future.

With features including compatibility with all 5800 Series devices and built-in two-way voice—which lets central station operators communicate with homeowners in the event of an emergency—LYNXR-I presents a great opportunity for RMR. Other key features include voice, a built-in message center, reminders, "Follow Me" and scheduling.
