For accurate and effective volumetric intrusion detection, Fiber SenSys offers the rugged, outdoor MD5 series microwave sensor. The MD5 series employs leading-edge digital or analog microwave technology, combined with digital signal processing, providing enhanced reliability through the analysis of the microwave signals transmitted and received. The internal microprocessor employs "fuzzy" logic technology to create behavior models based on received signals and compares with those generated by an intruder.
Available for projects in the U.S. and South America, perimeters are now protected with an assortment of models and technology types, including 50, 80, 120 and 200 meter units. Microwave technology is used to complement fiber-optic fence perimeter security and is particularly valuable for areas where the use of fences is not available or not practical. As one example of our product offering, the MD512X provides reliable asset protection at distances ranging from 50m up to 120m. It is impervious to rapid temperature gradation within a wide range with built-in, continuous microprocessor environmental monitoring.
