ManitouNEO was designed to meet the changing needs of the modern central station. The updated user interface is now web-based and accessible from a variety of compatible devices. Remote users can access the system through their existing laptops, tablets, and/or smartphones, which eliminates the need to purchase new equipment and makes it easier for dealers and technicians to access accounts in the field. ManitouNEO also features 64-bit architecture for distinctly faster processing.
Several new features of ManitouNEO were developed to streamline central station activity. A new, customizable Dashboard displays essential system conditions such as the alarm queue, recent alarm customers, and signal status counts; the information can be displayed on a large screen in the monitoring center, or easily viewed by management on a mobile device. The new Customer Wizard takes data entry through a step-by-step process to reduce errors and ensure critical information is not overlooked. The improved Video Control Center (VCC) integrates alarm handling and video into one system for efficient monitoring. The ManitouNEO VCC will support all existing and audio formats and has been updated to support a complete integration with I-View Now’s cloud-based video verification system.
Manitou was the first automation software to introduce the concept of Action Patterns to deliver step-by-step instructions on how to handle an alarm, which saves time and ensures operator consistency. With ManitouNEO, Enhanced Action Patterns have been upgraded to use “if/then/else” logic and look at account history to determine the proper workflow. The Enhanced Action Patterns can also run SQL statements and execute external programs. For example, in the event of a low battery alarm, ManitouNEO can look in history, and if there has been an A/C Power Fail on that account in the past three hours, the system simply logs the low battery alarm versus presenting to an operator. If there was not a recent A/C Power Fail, ManitouNEO opens the service ticket application.
