Viking products with Enhanced Weather Protection have a circuit board that is encased in a strong polymer material. The potting material won’t crack in cold weather, it provides protection against moisture and condensation, and it’s an excellent electrical insulator. In addition to the potted circuit board, EWP products also feature internally sealed push buttons, DIP switches, and volume control pots. Additional gaskets for the speaker, mic and faceplate make EWP products compliant to an IP66 rating.
