ZEELAND, Michigan - Gentex Corporation (GNTX), a leading supplier of commercial and residential audio and visual signals, photoelectric smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms, has announced the release of a wall mount expander plate to be used in conjunction with a Gentex speaker or wall mount speaker/strobe for Mass Notification System (MNS) and Emergency Communication System (ECS) applications. The GEP and GEPS Series was designed for various warning and emergency applications, including security, severe weather, evacuation and emergency response.
The GEP and GEPS Series expander plate allow for the combination of multiple devices on a single electrical box. The ability to mount multiple devices on a single electrical box improves aesthetics and allows for savings on installation costs.
The GEP Series is a flush mount application expander plate and the GEPS is a surface mount application expander plate. The GEP and GEPS Series is available in amber, blue, green and red lens, all with a white faceplate and mounts to a standard 4” x 2 1/8” deep back box.
The Gentex GEP and GEPS with blue, green and red lens color is available in a fixed 15/75 candela. The GEP and GEPS with amber lens color are available in tamperproof field selectable candela options of 15, 30, 60, 75 and 110. The GEP and GEPS Series strobes can be synchronized using the Gentex synchronization control module or Gentex synchronization protocol.
The GEP and GEPS Series is ANSI/UL 1638 listed. Additionally, the GEP and GEPS with amber lens color complies with the light output dispersion requirements of ANSI/UL 1971 for wall mount applications with a measured candela rating that is equal to the candela listed on the product, with no derating required.
