Cooper Notification announced today that the latest release of its award-winning Roam Secure Alert Network (RSAN) features Location-Based Services (LBS) and RSAN Mobile applications, providing faster access for sending critical alerts. The new release, RSAN 6.6, also includes single sign-on and advanced transaction logging with automatic notification. RSAN Location-based services allow organizations to alert individuals located in the crisis area in real-time by utilizing GPS reporting technology in smartphones. Individuals who are registered with an LBS provider can allow RSAN to retrieve and display their latest reported location on maps for authorized users. This information shows which personnel are located within the crisis zone in order for administrators to launch a two-way alert to see if they are safe and send additional help if needed. Before, during and after a disaster, organizations can also find first responders and key personnel located closest to the emergency to direct them to assist with the situation.
