The RED ALERTWiFi VoIP Emergency Hands-free Telephones are designed to provide point-to-point communications between personnel over an existing wireless local area network (WLAN). Whether used in a completely wireless installation or to extend the VoIP telephone system to areas where cable installation is prohibitive, GAI-Tronics RED ALERT WiFi VoIP Emergency Telephones provide reliable, quality communications.
These ADA-compliant, SIP-compatible telephones provide the same functions as GAI-Tronics VoIP Telephones have for almost three years but on a wireless platform that meets IEEE 802.11 b/g standards. In addition to providing standard telephone functionality (auto answer, call roll-over, “call received” L.E.D.), RED ALERT WiFi VoIP telephones feature alarm reporting that enables system supervisors to monitor the telephones’ activity and address caller needs or maintenance issues immediately. Each telephone will monitor its own health and report via email, or via Syslog, failures such as stuck buttons, speaker/microphone malfunction, configuration error, or power loss/reset. This self-reporting feature greatly reduces maintenance and system testing costs typically associated with an emergency communication system. Reporting occurs in real-time and can be emailed to up to three addresses.
RED ALERTWiFi VoIP Telephones include an embedded browser for web page configuration. A network browser, such as Internet Explorer, can be used to view, monitor, set-up, or change settings within each unit. Connection to an IP PBX via a wireless access point is required and a 24 Vdc power supply is provided with each unit. The telephone will operate from 12-48 Vdc, allowing the use of solar power to provide a completely wireless installation. Each telephone additionally provides two volt-free outputs for peripheral equipment control.
