    Northford, CT - Gamewell-FCI, a Honeywell (NYSE:HON) company, is an industry-leading manufacturer and complete single-source provider of commercial fire and life safety systems. The E3 Series, Gamewell-FCI’s newest expandable emergency evacuation system released September 2005, is reportedly the first to be approved by Underwriters Laboratories’ (UL) for controlling smoke throughout a building/structure per the new ninth edition of UL code 864.  

    As an approved system for smoke control, the E3 Series can now be installed to work in conjunction with non-dedicated HVAC equipment to form a system for controlling the flow of smoke in a building during a fire condition. Utilizing fans, ducts and dampers, the E3 Series system uses compartmentalization and pressurization to limit and/or control smoke movement within a building.
