VIENNA, VA - March 23, 2012 - VidSys, the leading provider of Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software that allows organizations to resolve business and security situations in real time, today announced the latest enhancements to its PSIM software. Adding new features to its ground-breaking mobile application and enhancements to its graphical user interface for system and device manipulation, the VidSys PSIM software makes it even easier for public and private organizations to manage safety and security situations in real time.
The first-of-its-kind VidSys mobile application now enables first responders to easily add real-time field information to an ongoing safety and security situation display, providing command center operators with a greater understanding of and improved visibility into how the situation is unfolding. This enhanced two-way collaboration leads to faster and more effective allocation of resources, improves the overall ability of command center operators to assist in the management and resolution of safety and security situations, and delivers essential information, including video, pictures, floor plans and resolution instructions, to first responders at the right time.
"With these product enhancements, we are delivering advancements that allow operators using VidSys to remain focused on what is truly important – managing situations versus juggling technologies," said James Chong, founder, CTO and senior vice president, strategic innovation, VidSys. "As a result, security managers and operators can rely on VidSys to innovate at a pace that routinely accelerates ease of use, adds new functionality and improves effective situation management and responder safety."
VidSys has also enhanced operator ease of use by adding embedded device controls within the common operating picture. Now, as the details of a situation unfold, any device or system can be manipulated by operators via the controls from within the main VidSys viewing area as they gather more information, thus ensuring valuable seconds are not lost.
"VidSys continues to lead the PSIM market with its continuous product innovation designed to meet the needs of both public and private organizations," explained Pierre Trapanese, CEO and owner, Northland Controls. "The VidSys PSIM software provides great value to the systems operator by allowing them to effectively manage their safety and security operations, rather than focus on the specific technologies. Collaborating with VidSys' excellent technical staff in deploying PSIM makes working with them a pleasure."
