IDV Solutions joins Security Industry Association
Lansing, MI – April 24, 2013 -- IDV Solutions, creator of Visual Command Center physical security and risk visualization (PSRV) software, today announced that it has joined the Security Industry Association, a nonprofit trade association representing manufacturers, service providers, and integrators of electronic and physical security products.
Visual Command Center delivers real-time visual intelligence for security operations teams by uniting activity and events from disparate data sources—including web feeds, social media, travel tracking, incident management, and physical security systems—into one comprehensive security picture. It visualizes potential risks, including breaking news, weather, and natural disasters, on an interactive map and timeline, along with in-house data like asset locations, floor plans, and physical safety systems.
Major corporations like Microsoft, CenturyLink, and Aon, and agencies including the U.S. Department of Homeland Security use Visual Command Center to monitor threats to infrastructure and assets around the world.
“SIA's members represent the best and brightest in the security industry – the visionary leaders who help protect our critical infrastructure and are who are shaping the way we do business now and in the future,” said SIA CEO Don Erickson. “I am pleased to welcome IDV Solutions and look forward to their involvement in the association.”
“Our membership in SIA, the security industry’s premier trade association, represents an important milestone for IDV Solutions,” said Mark Morrison, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder, IDV Solutions. “As Visual Command Center continues its rapid adoption by companies and public safety agencies, it’s vital that we’re well connected to our industry peers and leaders, and aligned with industry standards. Our new membership in SIA will greatly assist with those objectives.”
