Johnson Controls, the global leader in building efficiency, now offers the enhanced P2000 security management system, featuring a software upgrade to integrate and control more Internet Protocol (IP)-based systems and equipment.
The P2000 now integrates with virtually any security and building system technology, increasing productivity by providing a single-platform view of video surveillance, access control, enterprise IT, fire and intrusion alarms, elevator controls and building management. The open-architecture of the P2000 lowers operational costs and creates safer and more efficient business environments, while meeting the integration needs of legacy analog systems and equipment.
IP-based equipment integrations include select brands of:
• Door locks to enable real-time communication in locations where it would be difficult or impossible to install a wired lock.
• Intercoms to combine live video and communication to increase security staff productivity and response times.
• Intrusion panels to eliminate the costs of third-party monitoring services, preserve investments in intrusion detection systems, and enable arming/disarming with a normal access control badge.
• Digital video recorders to enable operators to better manage recording and camera functions from a single workstation.
Other enhancements to P2000 software enable end users to conceal user-defined fields on a per operator basis, attach files to cardholder journal entries, provide encryption of all real-time messages from the server to services and workstations, and use keyboard commands to enlarge or reduce views of an active map.
