Carlsbad, Calif. – July 24, 2012 – Next Level Security Systems, a provider of a new breed of unified, networked security solutions, today announced the release of the NLSS Gateway 3.0, the newest version of the company’s flagship solution the NLSS Gateway. The award-winning NLSS Gateway is a unified security management system that integrates IP access control, video management and video analytics into a single, easy-to-use networked platform. The Gateway 3.0 upgrade allows users to leverage facial recognition and detection, and create audio alerts. It also adds support for a variety of camera manufacturers.
NextDetect, a facial recognition analytic, is available as an add-on feature on the NLSS Gateway 3.0. With this unique software, users can create or upload an image database to be searched against across multiple cameras for potential matches. When a match between a captured face and an image in the database is detected, an email or mobile alert can be sent to the user-defined contact.
“Facial recognition allows users to do more with the video they are already capturing, to create a proactive security environment where potential threats are detected before it’s too late,” said Peter Jankowski, Chairman and CEO, Next Level Security Systems. “Adding NextDetect to our unified management software provides customers with a unique, advanced and proactive analytic to expand prevention capabilities.”
The upgraded Gateway software is operable with Gateway 500, 3000 and 5000. Other upgraded features include the ability to send audio alerts via the Gateway’s web interface to notify personnel of an event to enable swifter response, as well as supported integration with additional camera brands. In addition to supporting IP-based surveillance cameras that conform to ONVIF standards, the Gateway 3.0 supports cameras from many major manufacturers, including Arecont, Axis, Bosch, IQInVision, Panasonic, Pelco, Sony and more.
