Building automation firm TAC is growing even more. On Friday, the company announced that it has acquired Applied Control Technology, a North Carolina firm in the building controls space.
Applied Control Technology provides fire and security equipment sales through its subsidiary Applied Systems Technology, and Applied also operates in the realm of refrigeration and HVAC.
The news comes shortly after TAC announced a week earlier that it was merging with Invensys Building Systems. That acquisition of Invensys was valued at almost $300 million.
TAC is owned by Schneider Electric, and the company is best known in the security space for the Andover Continuum brand, a fully integrated building management system that also includes alarm monitoring and access control.
