A look at what’s new in the market

DVR/Camera Integration-Hikvision Digital Technology Co.'s DS-9000 series 4-channel, 8-channel and 16-channel hybrid DVRs now support Pelco network cameras, including the Sarix Mega-Performance Cameras (IXS0/IMS0/IDS0, IX10/ID10/IM10, IXE20/IDE20 and IX30/ID30 series cameras); Spectra IP Series Dome Positioning Systems (Spectra Mini IP and Spectra IV IP); IP110 Series Camclosure Indoor/Outdoor Network Mini Dome; and IP3701 Series Color Network Cameras.

Sensors Overhead-The Tailgate Detector from IEE comes in two models: TDflex(tm) for tailgate detection at standard, swinging, sliding and virtual doors and optical or mechanical turnstiles; and TDtrap(tm), which monitors individual access to two-door access points such as mantraps, airlocks and transfer gates.

Simplifying AV Design-System Sensor offers online tools to aid the design process of an audible/visible (AV) system. Those include the online Voltage Drop Calculator; a Mounting Options Tool; and an Equivalent Facilitation Calculator, all available at www.systemsensor.com/tools.

Product Expansion-All-weather, vandal-resistant IQeye Sentinel Series cameras from IQinVision now includes HD1080p H.264 models. In addition to the current 1.3MP 2.0MP, 3.1MP and 5.0MP units, the HD1080p models produce high-definition video, requiring less bandwidth and storage, while delivering full resolution at maximum frame rates.

Analog CCTV Upgrade-JVC Professional Products upgraded its four latest high-resolution, 1/3-inch CCD analog surveillance cameras. The new "A" versions of the TK-C2201UA and TK-C2201WPUA fixed dome cameras, as well as the box-style TK-C9200UA and TK-C9300UA cameras deliver 580 TV lines of resolution and feature a 12-bit digital signal processor for high quality images.

Remote Video Access-The new Logitech Alert series, the Logitech Alert(tm) 750i Master System and the weatherproof Logitech Alert(tm) 750e Outdoor Master System with night-vision, come with a smart HD camera, powerful PC and Web software and allow for remote viewing on a PC or Mac(r) computer, or smartphone.

Mesh Backhaul Applications-The MITO series from Fluidmesh Networks is comprised of the FM1100 MITO and the FM3100 MITO (pictured). Both create point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, mesh, and mixed architectures, feature one tri-band radio and can operate at 4.9GHz, and 5.1-5.8GHz and modulate up to 300 Mbps.
