MARLBOROUGH, Mass., Feb. 12, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company's (NYSE: RTN) Network Centric Systems has named Patrick Fines director of Raytheon Virtual Technology Corporation. Fines will have responsibility for the full spectrum of business operations from planning to execution.

With headquarters in Alexandria, Va., Raytheon VTC is a leading provider of distributed systems software, systems engineering services and interoperability solutions.
Fines joined Raytheon VTC from BAE Systems where he was the capture manager for the Network Services and Solutions organization. His responsibilities included leading a broad, multiyear campaign centered on homeland security and defense command operations. Fines also held a leadership role in promoting government-industry collaboration as part of the Government Electronics & Information Technology Association's industry advisory council.
Prior to joining BAE Systems, Fines was division director for Joint Programs at FGM Inc. where he led a group focused on net-centric transformation and service-oriented architecture solutions for the Department of Defense and the intelligence community.
Fines' career has been devoted to developing information sharing and collaboration solutions for national security systems. He is a recognized authority on net-centric strategy and overall force transformation. Fines received a bachelor's degree in economics from Mary Washington College and a master's degree in information and telecommunications systems from Johns Hopkins University.
