The goal for the modern city is to create a unified response plan to major emergency situations. Cities need to have all key stakeholders that can include police, fire/EMS, city government, homeland security, transit, utilities, urban educational campuses and healthcare facilities at the same table if they want to provide an effective security or safety response to any situation affecting their citizens.Secured Cities is the premier event for public/private partnership initiatives related to urban security strategies, operations, funding and applied technology solutions.

The conference brings together law enforcement, city and regional government, campus, healthcare and transportation security professionals, who are all working together to keep assets and people safe in our urban environments.Coordinating with those responsible for municipal and regional transportation centers, college and university campuses, as well as K-12 schools and urban healthcare faculties, the conference will offer more than 60 concurrent educational tracks dealing with the latest technology solutions for these important sectors. Another unique feature are three on-site tours of command and control facilities for Baltimore's CitiWatch, the MDTA and Maryland General's Shock & Trauma Center. The synergies between safe cities and its schools, hospitals and transportation hubs are crucial to providing an overall security and business continuity roadmap.
