    The Prosegur Compania de Seguridad, a Spanish firm offering security and alarm system installation and services, has acquired Argentinean security systems integrator Xiden.

    Prosegur announced the acquisition this week, but did not disclose the purchase price. The company said that it will paying Xiden's owners an initial payment, plus more payments based on the company's performance. In article for Thomson Financial news, the company said the investment was not "significant", but did expand the firm's business in Argentina.

    Prosegur offers a number of security services, from technology integration to monitoring, staffed guard services and cash handling.
