Apartments set for site in Spanish Fort

Atlanta-based developers paid almost $1.9 million for 20 acres on U.S. 31 just east of Rockwell Elementary School in Spanish Fort, according to David Morris and Joe Courtney of Courtney & Morris, who handled the transaction. Easlan Capital plans to build Vinings at Spanish Fort, a 240-unit upscale apartment complex, Morris said. Easlan also is the developer of the Southern Cancer Center planned for the northeast corner of U.S. 90 and Baldwin County 13.
Baldwin County's Emergency Communicaton District paid $750,000 for 32 acres on McAuliffe Road in Robertsdale, across the street from its existing complex, and will use it for future expansion, according to Tim Herrington of Saad & Vallas Realty Group.
Four new tenants have leased space in Pinebrook Shopping Center on Airport Boulevard and McGregor Avenue, according to the center owners: Springhill Spirits, a wine, cigar and liquor store that opened last month; Edible Arrangements, featuring fruit and vegetable arrangements, which opens in mid-December; Direct Wireless, a franchisee of Verizon Wireless; and Dream Dinners, a dinner assembly store, opening in early February. The Snohomish, Wash.-based Dream Dinners franchise provides all the ingredients for a family meal.
The owner of Dolphin Homes bought seven lots for $150,500 in Jarrell Plantation off Spice Pond Road in Semmes, according to Matt Diamond of Diamond Properties. Builder Bubba Jones plans to build three-bedroom, two-bath homes starting in the $130,000s, according to Diamond, who will market the homes.
Le Rose European Cafe & Deli will open in early January on the first floor of the three-story GM&O building at Beauregard and Water streets, according to James Haas of R.P. Carbone Co., the Cleveland-based developer of the building. Master Chef Max Zuellig, who is from Switzerland, has leased the 1,100-square-foot space and will serve breakfast and lunch, Haas said.
Tillman's Barber has leased 1,500 square feet at Harmony Corners Shopping Center at Snow and Nursery roads in Semmes, and Patty's Place, a restaurant featuring Southern food, has leased another 1,500 square feet there, according to Joey McCullough of McCullough Realty, who represented the tenants. Tina Davis of Harmony Realty worked for the landlord.
Local investors purchased 4 acres on Jeff Hamilton and Dawes roads and plan to build Dawes Stor All, a 75,000-square-foot, self-storage facility, according to Laura Ledyard of Omega Properties. Pierce Ledyard P.C. handled the closing transaction.
A national restaurant chain has signed a lease for the former Roadhouse Grill site on Airport Boulevard near Hillcrest Road, and plans to finalize the deal in January, according to John Vallas of Saad & Vallas.
