ISC East converted to half-day digital conference

Sept. 2, 2020
Virtual event to occur Nov. 18

With all major worldwide in-person security trade shows and conferences since January canceled or converted to digital-only events, the last remaining in-person event on the 2020 calendar, ISC East, can now officially be added to the list.

"ISC East 2020, scheduled for Nov. 18-19, 2020, in New York City, has been canceled due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19 and continued restrictions on large events," Reed Exhibitions announced in an email distributed on Wednesday afternoon.

"As a means to help connect the community and to recognize the hard work and achievements of security and public safety professionals and leaders this year, ISC East, along with SIA and ASIS NYC, will be hosting a half-day ISC East virtual event on Wednesday, Nov. 18, which will include the prestigious ASIS NYC Person of the Year Award and curated education sessions," the email adds.

“We are grateful for the partnership the ASIS NYC Chapter has established with ISC East. We look forward to the collaboration with ISC East and SIA to produce an impactful and meaningful virtual 2020 Person of the Year Award and Education Programs,” said Ray Dean, ASIS NYC Chapter – Annual Conference Chairman.

This is not the first time ISC East has been postponed. Most recently, the 2012 event was postponed and rescheduled due to Hurricane Sandy.
