ALTIMORE, MD – April 10, 2006 -- The national electronic security firm, Securityhunter, Inc., (www.securityhunter.com) headquartered in Baltimore, has changed its corporate name, revamped its corporate structure to reflect its growing government sector (GSA) business and will be launching a new security ecommerce site with GSA approved pricing.
The new “Securityhunter†name reflects the company’s focus on targeting security solutions – selecting the most appropriate equipment and services for each client.
“Our name change, after our battle with one of the nation’s largest software companies, reflects the security industry’s recognition of our growth and reputation in the homeland security arena,†explains Michael S. Rogers, founder and CEO of Securityhunter Inc. “Since I founded the company 18 years ago, we’ve grown from a single service alarm company into a multi-faceted security business with a nationwide presence.â€
The company currently operates as two divisions. The Security Integration Division designs, installs and maintains electronic security countermeasures projects for the following specialties:
- Access control systems to include biometric and smart card systems
- Video surveillance systems, including license plate recognition and video analytics
- Data transmission systems, including wireless and fiber optic systems
- Intrusion detection systems such as fiber optic perimeter security
The Security Support Services Division assesses and oversees security projects for mission critical operations nationwide in conjunction with the U.S. Government. These services include:
- Program Management
- Security Assessments
- COTR Support (Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative)
- Project Management
- System Commissioning
