New lanyard options offer more application choices for industry professionals

Las Vegas, NV (September 24, 2007) – Facility managers and other security professionals tasked with ensuring that proper identification is worn and visibly displayed can now choose from a wider variety of lanyards from Brady People ID, the leading supplier of people identification solutions. From lanyards that glow in the dark to lanyards with customized printed promotional logos or messages, a full selection of lanyards by Brady People ID is on display this week at ASIS 2007.

“Users’ acceptance of wearing identification can be increased when the right accessories are selected,” said Bill Kieckhafer, Brady People ID. “We have extended the functionality of lanyards beyond their traditional use by incorporating innovative and creative designs to provide our customers with more application choices which helps foster greater user acceptance.”

Included in the offerings on display are Reflective Lanyards, made with UltraWeave polyester. These lanyards, available in five colors, offer a large reflective area and luminescent printing to ensure that wearers will be clearly visible making them ideal for traffic safety and emergency personnel. Reflective Lanyards with luminescent printing or standard silk screen printing are also now available preprinted with “Safety First” or “Security”, or customized with user’s logos or promotional message.

In addition to being used for personnel identification applications, lanyards are increasingly being used for promotional purposes. Brady People ID has met this trend with the introduction two new lanyards preprinted with “Support Our Troops” and “Cancer Awareness” to build awareness and support these important causes. The preprinted lanyards are manufactured with a safety break-away and UltraWeave premium quality fabric for added durability and comfort.

Brady People ID is also providing a solution to the longstanding problem of badges twisting and turning backwards with the introduction of the Wide No-Twist lanyard – a simple product which keeps badges facing forward so they can be easily seen. The Wide No-Twist lanyard is made of a high quality woven neck cord and comes with safety breakaway and a wide plastic hook to hold the ID straight.
