LonWorks Distributor Engenuity Systems Adds Hubbell Building Automations
Engenuity Systems, the worlds largest LonWorks and open systems product distributor, is pleased to announce they have added over 100 products from industry leader Hubbell Building Automation to their line card. Hubbell has long been known as a leading developer and manufacturer of technologically advanced occupancy sensors and lighting control systems. Hubbell Building Automations entire product offering now joins the other 60 manufacturers and over 2500 products currently represented by Engenuity Systems.
Headquartered in Austin, Texas, Hubbell Building Automation (HBA) brings together over 30 years of lighting control experience from the MYTECH and UNENCO brands. HBA manufactures and markets a full suite of energy saving lighting control solutions including occupancy sensors, day lighting controls and High Bay lighting controls. The newest addition to the Hubbell Building Automation suite of network lighting control systems is HBA's Simplicity LX Series Lighting Control Panels, which supports the ANSI/EIA/CEA 709.1 (LonTalk Protocol) Open Standard for control networking. HBA has chosen the ANSI/EIA/CEA 709.1 standard as their standard for development of new products and lighting controls. Following extensive research of several different technologies on the market, the LonWorks protocol was the strongest and showed the most potential. As a result, all new, networked products developed by HBA will meet the ANSI/EIA/CEA 709.1 standard as well as achieve LonMark certification. The simplicity panel system is currently undergoing LonMark certification, as is a series of low voltage lighting switches that can either work as part of the Simplicity system or be installed as stand alone products in a LonWorks interoperable system. Only products certified by LonMark International are eligible to carry the LonMark logo, the indicator that a product has completed the LonMark certification tests and has been designed to interoperate across a LonWorks network. Hubbells future products for certification include occupancy sensors, photocells, and daylight harvesting modules.
With vast expertise in the LonWorks and LonMark technology and marketplace, Engenuity was the logical choice for Hubbell. In addition to the LonWorks product line, Engenuity Systems will also be distributing the rest of Hubbell Building Automations line of products, offering customers alternative solutions for installing lighting control systems that meet expectations and budgets.
We are very pleased to represent Hubbell in this market. Hubbells products are among the best in the industry and we are excited we will be able to make them available to our customers. Said Tracy Markie, president and CEO of Engenuity Systems.
Engenuity Systems was the logical choice for distribution of these specialty products, says Tom Braz, Vice President & General Manager. Engenuity provides Hubbell with a source that understands the technology and how to incorporate the products into an entire BAS system, which Engenuity Systems specializes in.
