ADT has announced the acquisition of Virginia-based commercial security integrator Gaston Security.
“We continue to make strategic acquisitions in the commercial security integration space to enhance and grow our integrated solutions division,” Dan Bresingham, ADT's Chief Administrative Officer.
Gaston Security is the third commercial security integrator that ADT has acquired since August. ADT acquired Protec Inc., on Aug. 9 and MSE Corporate Security earlier in October. “This purchase, along with our recently announced acquisitions, strengthen our ability to better support our Commercial and National Account Customers,” Bresingham added.
Gaston Security was founded in 1994 as a video surveillance integration company and has since expanded its services to include intrusion, access control and perimeter protection, serving the financial, commercial, industrial, educational and government sectors across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast United States.
“As part of the ADT family, we now have access to resources that will expand our services and solutions, providing a tremendous benefit to our customers,” Gaston Security owner Greg Burns said. “We look forward to being a part of this growing business, while also delivering increased career opportunities for our employees.”
Burns will continue with the company as the Vice President of Operations for the new Gaston Security, which will become a division of ADT. He now becomes the newest member of what ADT calls the “Owner’s Club,” a group of previous owners/operators who remain with ADT post-acquisition to help ensure high-touch personal services to customers.
