This is the first such warranty offered by any major access control products manufacturer for security optical turnstiles.
This new warranty is available immediately, and applies retroactively to all 2015 shipments. Clients with existing installations dating back to 2014 will also qualify for the new five-year warranty.
This new initiative follows the successful completion of factory durability tests validating a lifetime of 5 million MCBF (mean cycles between failure) for various pedestrian products, including SmartLane, SlimLane, and TR490/491 tripod turnstiles. “In fact, we have clients that have reported having SmartLane equipment with cycles exceeding 10M. This is a true testament to Automatic Systems’ products, designed with reliability and quality in mind,” said Mike McGovern, Southern U.S. Sales Manager.
