AFA Protective Systems, Inc. has acquired the alarm business assets of Pro-Tech Security, Ltd., Brighton, Mass., effective November 1, 2016. Among the assets purchased are contracts representing over $10,000 RMR, primarily consisting of commercial and residential alarm monitoring services in the greater Boston, Massachusetts marketplace.
Pro-Tech was established in 1982.
Established in 1873, AFA Protective Systems, Inc., is the oldest continuous operating alarm company in the United States, and has offices throughout the Eastern Coast of the United States with service capability throughout the country through its National Accounts Division.
