LifeSafety Power’s ProWire now includes magnetic, LED light strips for the E6, E8 and E12 products, a free, value-add component that brings instant illumination to enclosures to assist with installing, managing and servicing power solutions.
Power supply enclosures are commonly located in dark or remote environments, like IT closets, compact data centers or other locations where space and light is at a minimum. All LifeSafety Power ProWire E6, E8 and E12 systems now include the LED Light Kit featuring the option of 12VDC or 24VDC operation, tool-free mounting and PIR motion sensor.
“There’s a definite buzz around the release of the LED Light Kits judging from the positive comments we continue to receive since its release in early September,” says Keith Kober, Senior Sales Director. “LifeSafety Power is focused on improving the installation experience with this component, which can work with 12 and 24VDC for plug-and-play versatility.”
The E6 enclosure light kit features an 18-inch LED configuration for enhanced visual management of the system. The E8 and E12 enclosures, designed for access control projects consisting of 16 doors and up, include a 28-inch LED Light Kit and both emit 400 lumens of natural/daylight illumination per foot. The PIR sensor activates the LED when the enclosure door opens or movement is detected. It automatically shuts off after 15 minutes or when motion is no longer sensed.
The light kits use minimal power and stay cool during operation, with the LEDs offering long-life and reliable operation. The unit is easily mounted at the top of the enclosure with powerful magnets and accommodates different wire lengths with splicing, lever-style connectors. The LEDs can be powered using existing C8, D8, M8 or SD4/16 outputs.
