ADS Security acquires accounts from Alabama-based SAFECO

ADS Security (ADS), a regional electronic security and automation company headquartered in Nashville, Tenn., announced on Monday that it has acquired customer accounts from Security and Fire Equipment Co. (SAFECO) of Northport, Ala. The purchase adds approximately 1,300 accounts to the ADS Alabama customer base, growing the market to approximately 21,300 accounts.

"SAFECO’s commitment to providing customers with outstanding service makes them a great fit for ADS,” says ADS President and CEO John Cerasuolo. "They have been serving their community for fourteen years, and we are proud to introduce SAFECO customers to the local ADS Tuscaloosa team.”

The purchase of SAFECO is the first purchase for ADS this year, following the acquisition of about 6,500 accounts in Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia last year. In 2014, ADS acquired five security companies across the Southeast totaling approximately 6,400 accounts.

The purchased accounts will be serviced out of the ADS Tuscaloosa office located at 711 Black Bears Way in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
