EXTON, Pa. - June 10, 2013 - Security-Net, a global provider of security integration services, announced today that Advantech Inc., a regional security systems integrator headquartered in Dover, Delaware, has joined Security-Net as its 20th member.
Advantech, Inc., provides Security-Net with valuable geographical coverage in the Mid-Atlantic region, serving Delaware, Virginia and Maryland. In business for 23 years, Advantech, Inc., designs and installs surveillance, access control, fire, life safety and intrusion security systems primarily focusing on the government, education, transportation and Homeland Security markets.
In recent years, the company has completed several high profile installations, including a $3 million access control and TWIC project with the Port of Wilmington, Delaware. The project encompassed numerous disciplines, including installing the fiber and wireless backbone, power distribution, video, access, mobile handheld TWIC readers, thermal imaging cameras, video analytics, and perimeter detection. Another project with the University of the District of Columbia involved integrating video, access, intrusion, asset protection, ID badging, and off-line virtual locksets systems at four campuses, plus the development of a command center.
For three consecutive years, Advantech, Inc., has been recognized by Honeywell Integrated Security with its prestigious “National Dealer of the Year Award,” most recently taking home the honor in 2011. From 2004 – 2008, the company was named Mid-Atlantic Integrator of the Year by Honeywell Integrated Security.
