Arlington Heights, IL - SecurityInfoWatch Media, America’s leading group of security industry-related websites and magazines, has announced that one of its flagship publications, Security Dealer & Integrator (SD&I), will be renamed Security Business, starting with the January 2019 issue.
Security Business magazine will continue to be "The Path to Greater Profits" for its audience of security business owners and managers who help maintain integration firms, as well as reseller and installation businesses in the commercial and residential security markets.
"Since Paul Rothman took over as Editor in Chief five years ago, he has adapted the magazine’s editorial focus from a heavy emphasis on technology solutions to focusing more on the business challenges of high-level managers, executives and owners of security integration firms," said Steve Lasky, Editorial Director for SecurityInfoWatch Media. "This name change is the logical next step in that progression and reflects what our readership wants based on extensive research and feedback."
Security Business will remain a 12-time monthly publication, and its readership will not change. The magazine’s new URL is http://securitybusinessmag.com, and the magazine’s social media channels on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook will remain intact, but be listed under the new name (Twitter: @SecBusinessMag and the same handle on Facebook). Its annual Fast50 ranking of the fastest-growing security integration firms will also remain, with entries to open in early 2019.
Security Business is the second name change the magazine has undergone in its 40-year history. Launched for the first time as a standalone monthly publication in 1978, Security Dealer kept its name for 30 years before adding "& Integrator" in 2008.
"Our new name – Security Business – underscores the business focus of our publication and our commitment to help our audience increase their profitability," said Nancy Levenson-Brokamp, Group Publisher. "We will continue to deliver the strongest editorial content for our readers and messaging platform for our partners."
"This is a very exciting time for our publication, readership and clients, as we continue to deliver the most relevant source of information for security professionals," said Editor in Chief Paul Rothman.
