Pye-Barker acquires Security Solutions in Connecticut
Pye-Barker Fire & Safety – the largest fully integrated and full-service fire protection, life safety and security services provider in the U.S. – has acquired Security Solutions Inc., a security, alarms and surveillance systems provider serving the Norwalk, Connecticut area.
A family-run business for more than 30 years, Security Solutions has built a solid presence with customers from Greenwich to New Haven. Pye-Barker is enabled through SSI’s addition to bring its full suite of fire protection and security alarm services to new communities.
Founded and led by the Orvis family, Security Solutions Inc. (SSI) has created a stellar reputation in the Northeast, offering security alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, access control and 24-7 monitoring. Current President James “Jamie” Orvis is well-known for his leadership within the Electronic Security Association (ESA), which recognized him with the 2009 Person of the Year Award, and the Alarm Industry Research and Educational Foundation (AIREF), where he founded the AIREF Golf Classic to fund industry research and training.
